How ‘Bout them Cubs

The Chicago Cubs had a rough first half of the season. They were only at .500 and seemed to be struggling. Injuries to members of the team at the positions with the least depth made it much more difficult for them. Meanwhile, they weren’t able to hit the way that they had hoped to. Their abilities weren’t showing up on the field yet. But now things seem to be slowly turning around. After an icky ending to last night’s game, people might think that it’s bad. But a bad 9th inning happens to all the best players sometimes. It will be interesting to see what they come up with moving forward, but the coaches are working the team up to speed. Even the much maligned Milton Bradley seems back to full strength now, struggling much less than he was before.
