Horse Polo Incident

A sad incident happened over the weekend in Wellington, Florida. There was a major polo tournament going on and suddenly several of the horses from the Venezuelan team started to become disoriented and they started to fall. In all 21 horses died in this incident. It wasn’t an airborn infection or anything like that, it just happened very suddenly. They were apparently not in pain either, just sick and a little bit disoriented. Since they were all from the same team, it’s been decided that it must be some kind of poisoning, either that their food had gone bad or that there is some kind of toxin in something else around. They haven’t found out yet, and the various toxicology reports wont be ready until later in the week or early next week. The competition will resume, as it didn’t appear that other horses were in danger.
