Defending Champs keep strong

Yesterday, the New York Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 21-14. They have had a good year so far, they are 6-1 on the season. They caused the Steelers to repeatedly make big mistakes. In the end, Ben Roethlisberger had four interceptions and was sacked 5 times. The Steelers were also missing their longsnapper, who is out with an injury, and were using one of their linebackers to do the job. He overthrew the ball to the punter, causing a game-tying safety. Eli Manning, the quarterback for the Giants, had a limited game. He was boxed in until late by the Steelers’ defense. Late in the game, though, the defense tired, and Manning was able to jump into gear, finding Steve Smith on a 25-yard throw, in the deciding drive of the game. The New York Giants are again in contention this year and we’ll have to see how the next few weeks turn out for them!
