After dominating Kenny Pavlik for 12 rounds, Bernard Hopkins circled around the ring and stared out in the sea of faces in the audience and ringside. His face and gestures clearly taunting and provoking the question, “What else do I have to do to prove myself to you people?” Hopkins, 17 years the elder of Pavlik, thoroughly outhandled his opponent, an opponent that just happens to be the middleweight champion. Going the full 12 rounds, Hopkins won via unanimous decision and handed Pavlik his first professional loss.
