The USA U18 team won silver medal at the 2008 FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Formosa, Argentina. They lost 77-64 in a very exciting matchup against Argentina. They put up a brave fight in spite of an early deficit. Kemba Walker (Rice H.S. / New York, N.Y.), who will suit up for the University of Connecticut in the fall, led all scorers with 21 points and was named the tournament MVP. Malcom Lee of John W. North H.S and Travis Releford of Bishop Miege chipped in with good performances too. Coach Bob McKillop was very happy with the performance and was proud of the team’s never say die attitude. The new NCAA basketball season is set to kick off very soon and the schedule and tickets can be found at vividseats.com.
