The Astros pitcher Shawn Chacon will not be seen in the future games for the Houston team as he was suspended from the roster indefinitely for showing unruly behavior on general manager Ed Wade. There are reports that Shawn manhandled his manager by grabbing his neck and pushing him on the ground for being relegated to the bullpen during the weekend. Shawn Chacon is a worried man as he is worried about not pitching in the majors again. A clear picture on Chacon’s future will be only known after how this serious issue is reviewed and resolved. But, for now, fans with tickets to the Houston Astros games will not be seeing one of the sports worlds ace pitcher in action.

The Chicago Cub’s ace baseball pitcher Big Carlos Zambrano has been sent by the management to a 15 day disabled list due to a minor right shoulder strain as the Cubs felt that a couple of games rest for their starting pitcher will do him no harm to his preparations in the upcoming crucial games. The Cubs took an MRI scan on his right shoulder in order to confirm the seriousness of the injury. The scan fortunately did not reveal any structural damage and hence Zambrano will be okay within a couple of weeks. The sports world is anticipating even better performances from Zambrano in the days ahead and it is this anticipation that is driving the fans to buy tickets for the Cubs games.

The Houston Texans, in an attempt to increase the push run this football season, has signed linebacker and former New England Patriots player Rosevelt Colvin. The 32 year old rusher Colvin is happy to have signed with Houston Texans after playing with Patriots and Bears in his nine year career so far. Free agent Rosevelt Colvin has agreed with the terms of Texans, but the signing amount has been kept under wraps. Colvin has said that he is comfortable playing in any position in the Texans ream and is concentrating hard on being fit for the entire season. Tickets to the Texans games are up for grabs now.

The San Diego Padres ace pitcher Jake Peavy, a highly rated sports personality, did not show any signs of injury to his elbow as he came out and pitched for six innings after a one month lay off against the Los Angeles Dodgers to help his team score a convincing 9-0 win last Thursday in their home ground. The Padres batters helped his cause by scoring five runs in the first inning itself. Peavy did not look even a wee bit out of touch and his comeback game was thoroughly enjoyed by his fans who had purchased tickets for the game. Peavy said that he was happy with his pitching heroics but felt that he needs to improve a lot to take his team to greater heights.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will miss the entire week of passing camp as well as the organized team activities (OTA) after suffering from a shoulder tendinitis. McNabb has been instrumental in taking the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2004 and his injury is a major cause of concern for the Eagles camp. McNabb is known for his injury problems right through his career and the sport’s leading player is expected to return to practiced after two weeks of treatment, according to Eagles head coach Andy Reid. The Boston Red Sox’s highly acclaimed pitcher Curt Schilling has been recovering from the right shoulder injury he suffered during spring training sessions and took to the bullpen mound in Fenway Park to test his injured shoulder last Wednesday. Curt Schilling was able to pitch in 25 throws out of which 22 were strikes. There are few more pitching sessions heading Schilling’s way during this week and so far signs are pretty good, according to the assessment by world renowned coach Terry Francona. Curt Schilling’s fans will double up the ticket counters once they hear the news of him taking the field for Red Sox.

The Yankees coach Joe Girardi appreciated the efforts of Mike Mussina and complemented him for accumulating 109 pitches, a season high for him. The 2005 first round pick of Minnesota Vikings Erasmus James has been shown the exit doors by the Vikings as he has not been able to play for a considerable length of time due to persistent injuries. James, a leading player of the world’s premier sport, American football, has spent more time in the sidelines than on the field for the past three seasons and the Vikings team felt that it is better to relieve the defensive end rather than having him on the disabled list for most matches.
