Beckham wants to continue playing for England
Posted on Mar 28, 2008 under Soccer, playes |David Beckham, a very famous sports personality and one of the most sought after soccer players in the world, has recently revealed his ambitions of playing for England in many more matches to come. Beckham, who is currently playing the American League for the LA Galaxy team, has been called by the England team coach Fabio Capello to play in the friendly exhibition soccer game against France. This will be the 100th appearance for Beckham in English colors and Beckham says that he is determined to play many more games for England and does not want to retire after his 100th game.
If Beckham is given a chance to play in the friendly game, then he will be the fifth English player to have played 100 international matches or more. Beckham had missed nine matches since being dropped after the 2006 World Cup, by the then manager Steve McClaren. He was recalled into the side after a dismal performance by the English players. Beckham seems determined to show everyone where he belongs.
