Roger Federer, the No.1 in men’s Tennis player was shown the way out in the Dubai Tennis Championship by Andy Murray. This was Federer’s second consecutive loss this year. He was defeated by Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of Australian Open in February this year and now he is out in the first round of the Dubai championship. The 20-year old British player defeated Federer for 6-7, 6-3, and 6-5. This is the first time in three years that Roger is out in the first round. He was the winner of Dubai Tennis Championship for the past five years.

Roger Federer, later said that, the opponent’s play was only average and it was not a reason for his defeat. It was his mistimed forehand shots that were missing the target by two or three meters that made him upset. Federer said that it took only two hours for him to forget his loss in Australia, but with this defeat, it is time for him to reflect back on his play. In the last five weeks, Roger decided to have rest and showed interest in activities like Super Bowl. It was said that he is preparing for the tough schedule ahead, which will get over with the Master’s Cup in November.
